The Serpae Tetra is a bold, deep-red schooling fish with a distinctive black spot behind the gill plate. Full of personality and colour, they make a striking addition to a community tank.

Temperament: Semi-aggressive — can be fin-nippy, best kept in groups of 6+ to spread behaviour
Tank Mates: Active, robust fish — Danios, Barbs, larger Tetras. Avoid slow-moving or long-finned fish.
Origin: South America (Amazon Basin)
Diet: Omnivore — flakes, micro pellets, frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp
Water Parameters: pH 5.5–7.5
